Having seen the positive impact on students from leading industry figures, like the recent visits from Freeman Steve Munkley and industry legends Diego Masciaga and Ricardo Pimentel, Lakefield are planning to increase their focus on positive industry collaboration, helped by a Charity grant of £12,000 in 2023-24 – which includes match funding from City & Guilds.
Students from Lakefield’s 2022 -2023 cohort completed their studies and have moved onto the next chapter in their lives. Some went to study at other establishments, othersstarted working at various places including The Oriental Club, the recently opened Raffles Hotel, and Petrus.
This year, Lakefield piloted a new programme of collaboration with industry by organising two-day placements over the academic year in the Dorchester, Boodles, the Oxford and Cambridge Club and Spaghetti House.
